Sold, and next up:

Longspine Squirrel Fish (sold)
.
.

Blennie in Bladed Fire Coral (sold)
.
.
Photo of a Jewelfish in Bladed Firecoral (not painted yet!!) (The eye is hidden)
.
.
OK, the topmost two above sold at the recent show. The couple that bought the Fire Coral- Blennie one seemed very delighted, they found me to say they'd bought it. I said "Thank you!!" and then didn't get their names and address. I'm new at this selling stuff, but not for long. I'll have a better blog soon, sort of a combo blog and website, being built by the Empty Easle folks, foliotwist.com. Brand new. Not done yet.
.
I guess my fish need to be extremely realistic, painted with three-hair brushes under as much magnification as I can get. My poor eyes! I found some great suppliments with Lutein and something else especially for eyesight, seems to make a good difference.
.
Jewelfish are aptly named. So pretty! They're curious but very shy and frightened by a diver's bubbles, size, and gaze, both eyes and camera lense. I have a different 'pose' that I'm painting, just his/her face peeking from behind the coral. They are actually the juvenile Yellow-Tailed Damselfish, in the angel fish family.
.
I'm beginning my "First To Go" series, of the little fish that Lionfish juveniles consume and clear from the reef. Fairy Basslets, Banded Coral Shrimp, and other tiny beauties.
OK, all for now. Thanks for stopping by!

Moving on up

Hi, my readers. Not much to look at again. Just finished a show, twenty five Plein Air (open air/on location) painters had a little weekend show and I sold four or five. Many sold nothing, or just one or two. Tight money! Here's a link to the Palletteers of St Croix blog, if you want to see a bunch of old ladies and their art. Nobody took a picture of me during the show, owell!

Within the month, I'll have a website, and will be selling my paintings. Hey, Now I goofed somehow, don't know how to stop the italics! I'm a painter, not a typist!

Ok until next time! Thanks for stopping by!
